Raiza & Luis

We had no idea what we were getting into with this wedding! It was a rather chilly beach day on Topsail Island, NC in November, but that didn’t stop Raiza and Luis from having an unforgettable wedding complete with a 5 story beach house filled with all their friends and family for a week! Raiza is Cuban and Luis’ family is from Mexico, and Melissa and I just fell in love with this celebration. Melissa and I LOVE hispanic culture. We lived in Mexico for a while a few years back, and we even did a Salsa/Tango combination for our first dance at our own wedding. So when these two families started to dance, we could barely keep the cameras still. I admit, we cheated and danced a little on the job!

We just wanted to share with you their highlights video as well as their dancing segment on their DVD. We know you will enjoy both. Raiza chose, “Your Song”, from the Motion Picture “Moulin Rouge”. I actually love editing to this song, but its been about 1 1/2 years since we have used it last. Thanks Raiza and Luis for welcoming us into your wedding celebration! We had a blast filming!
The photography at the wedding was by Matt McGraw. Beautiful job on his part as always. Music at the ceremony was by Maura Kropke. Check her out also if you are looking for an elegant violinist.

Our Website Make-Over

We wanted to shine the spotlight on the people that make our website look good! Over the past year, we have tried numerous ways to “decorate” our website as best as we could. Problem is we are videographers, not photographers! So, instead of using our old still images from our videos we decided that photos created by the photographers we work with would best suit our website. High quality video deserves a high quality website. Now, obviously we have worked with A LOT of photographers all over the region and in Wilmington. Most of them truly great and passionate about their work. Being in the industry, we even have photographer friends that we know, we just haven’t shot a wedding together. That said, these photographers listed below have the work displayed on our site because,

1. They are GOOD…

2. We know that we work well with all of them. Its important that your videographer and photographer work well together because that means not only a stress free wedding day, but both the pictures and video will be even more incredible. We can say that about these photographers. If you are excited about having us film your wedding, look into these folks if you haven’t already reserved a photographer. And if you have, no worries! Before your wedding, we make it a point to discuss your wedding with your photographer so we can coordinate smoothly…

Lisa Brown of Bella Rose

We couldn’t leave out Hal Queen. Based in Charlotte, Hal referred us to many many brides to help us get the word out about our unique style. We couldn’t have expanded so quickly without his help. We work very well with him, and he comes highly recommended, because he shot our wedding!
All of these artists have different styles, so have fun looking at their work and pick the one that’s right for you!

Happy Tuesday,

Matt

Amy & Angelo

Amy & Angelo met in New York and quickly fell in love. So much so that she moved out to Los Angeles where he was and also expanded her Signature Denim Fashion Line to both coasts. Dr. Angelo Tsirbas is of Greek heritage but lived in Australia. Amy knew that she wanted a perfect “Southern” Wedding here in Wilmington where she grew up, so Orton Plantation was the perfect setting. It was a pleasure filming this wedding! So many international guests made the Greek dancing even more entertaining. The wedding was featured in a January issue of Wrightsville Beach Magazine

Amy chose a great team of professionals to create her charming wedding, and as always we enjoyed working with Lisa Brown of Bella Rose, & A Carolina Wedding. Flowers were by A Beautiful Event.

We have posted here highlights video of the wedding below. She chose to use a classic and romantic song in Diana Krall’s “Let’s Fall in Love” and it came out great! However, I wanted to use this opportunity to show everyone the different styles of filming and editing we do. The second highlights video, is of the same footage yet cut to a different song, “A Night Like This” by Tomi Swick. We need your help! Watch both versions and comment on them to let us know what you like about each different version. Some people prefer a soft romantic feel, and some prefer a more upbeat undertone. Either way, Life Stage can create a wedding video that matches your style. Again, please let us know what you think, not only for us, but to give others ideas on how to create their perfect wedding video.
