Zach, Kara and myself were honored to serve these crazy, and I mean CRAZY families. :) I mean, what bride tries to serve their videographer 20 mimosas before the wedding even starts?! :)

As you can tell from the film, being a part of the hectic-ness of that house when the girls were getting ready was a joy, and such an integral part of their wedding day story. It was also a first seeing the father of the bride being “powdered”. :) So funny.

We filmed, edited and presented this short film of their wedding day at the reception, 30 minutes after the cake cutting. We call this a Same Day Edit. The audio at the beginning is Suzanne reacting to Daniel’s letter he wrote to her before the ceremony. Her words, “I just wanna take him home right now and be done with the formalities”. :) Love it. She was SO excited.

We couldn’t have pulled off this same day edit without an amazing team. But we also want to thank you guys for picking such awesome vendors. Pete w/ Unique Events DJ not only kept the crowd dancing ALL NIGHT, but also pitched in to help make the SDE sound amazing. And MacGregor Downs Country Club w/ the help from an amazing sunset and the great details designed by Katherine from POSH Event Planning made it the perfect location for a perfect wedding day. Plus with the great details Scott Piner was a pleasure to work with as well. All-Stars! :)

We feel privileged you and your families trusted us to capture these moments for you, Daniel and Suzanne, and even more honored to create something that allowed your guests to fully see all the emotions and behind the scenes events of your wedding day with this Same Day Edit. Congrats!

Wilmington, NC’s finest wedding vendors came together for an incredible event at Orton Plantation last week. Shon & Juliet, the winners of Orton’s “Secret Garden” were the perfect couple to work with, and deserved this amazing wedding more than anyone. When you watch this wedding film (which was edited and shown AT the reception!) you can easily see why this was the perfect dream wedding. The chapel, the location on the river underneath the Big Oaks and Spanish moss, and the greenhouse reception venue were all stellar, but take a closer look at Juliet & Shon…as their day unfolded. Joy. Excitement. and anticipation. It was evident that these two couldn’t wait to get married. The ceremony was such a testament to their faith, and their promise to each other. They weren’t just standing up there at the altar, reciting vows, they were SAYING their vows, both with their words, and their actions. It was refreshing to see.

With a vintage theme of the 30′s and 40′s recreated, their guests enjoyed fine food, great visuals (from Salt Harbor Designs), and swing dancing lessons. One of the highlights of the evening were Shon & Juliet’s choreographed first dance. So, please enjoy their video, and allow yourself to be taken into this dream location, and witness Shon & Juliet’s best day of their lives. **We LOVE what Shon says about Juliet and WHY he wanted to marry her. You’ll have to listen for yourself!
