You can’t really put your finger on it, put there’s a certain attitude you come across here at the beach. Craig and Jennie permeate it. And that’s a good thing. They might get an award for the most laid back couple we’ve ever filmed. We arrived to film the guys getting ready, and Craig and his entourage were just hopping off the boat, drinks in hand, oblivious to the wedding that day! (just kidding). Their emotions and laughter throughout the day were contagious. You’ll notice Craig’s laugh in the film might rub off on you too.

This wedding was a special one for me, because whenever I get teamed up with Jen Mitchell and her crew at Figure Eight Island, with the design executed by Courtney of Stellar Events and the “sweet” goodness of Flower & Flour, I just don’t know how to stop shooting. Everything is more beautiful. Couple that with the moments we were able to capture from Craig and Jennie’s joy though out the day, and we feel we have a winner of a film here. Enjoy!

David & Catherine’s Wedding Highlights

One of the biggest fears of having a beach wedding is always – What if it rains!?! Catherine and David are one of the luckiest couples ever. The Thursday before their big day I started to worry about the bad weather coming our way. Around 3 o’clock I get a call from a calm David asking if we could change our shooting times due to rain. He was in the process of calling ever vendor and moving their wedding up in the day to miss the storm. Magically every vendor, including us, easily changed their plans and Catherine and David had a marvelous day complete with a beautiful ceremony on the beach.

David and Catherine are such amazing people and we have had such a great time working with them. Their wedding was full of so many wonderful touches, mostly hand made with love by Catherine’s Mom. C & D’s big day was very special and full of love and happiness. You can just see how much David is in love with Catherine whenever he looks at her.
Congrats to the lovely couple! We hope everyone loves their highlights. I had a hard time fitting all the details in so you may need to watch a few times to see it all :).

Mary Elizabeth and Gabe, along with their families, put together the best ingredients Wilmington had to offer, to create a quintessential, southern event people will be talking about for years. But even more importantly, after hearing their story through the perspective of their friends and family’s toasts, it’s evident that Mary Elizabeth and Gabe are the perfect fit, and will be falling for each other more and more as the years go on.

Arguably one of our most favorite weddings, this day had all the elements for an amazing celebration. You can check out the all-star vendors below, but having a surprise gospel choir perform during the ceremony, an epic first look on the waterway, desserts fit for a heavenly banquet, and one of the best party bands in the country…made for one of the best weddings any one present has experienced.

It also helps to have AMAZING coordination (thanks Courtney and Jen!) and of course a bride and groom that are excited about each other on their wedding day and never take their eyes off one another.

Needless to say, we love how this film turned out because it was so easy to capture the unalterated emotions from this day.
