Amy & Ryan – Wedding Highlights

Charlotte, NC

Josiah and I filmed this wedding in Charlotte, and I specifically remember telling Amy towards the end of the night how excited I was about the footage that we got. I also said that it was one of our best weddings of the year, and she said “Get out! You tell everyone that!”. No Amy, we don’t. :) But for us, what makes a great wedding and great footage is the couple we are filming and what they are excited about. Amy and Ryan were truly a pleasure to work with because their wedding day was about them. They threw a beautiful party and had some of the most entertaining dancing we have seen. But the emotions, and the looks we captured of them enjoying their wedding day together mean the most to us as storytellers, and I LOVED how much tunnel vision they had towards each other all day. They danced, they laughed, and they even threw cake in each other’s face! But you could tell that even if that stuff wasn’t there, it wouldn’t have mattered, and that makes for a great wedding film. The Ballantyne Country Club staff coordinated and designed a beautiful event. It’s always easier to film at a venue like that. On a side note: Check out grandpa! I thought it was GREAT that he was on the dance floor with the ladies surrounding him!

Thanks again Amy & Ryan, for allowing us to witness and document such a cool evening for you both. Friends, family and blog watchers, don’t forget to comment on the video if you enjoyed it!

Annie & Brian – Wedding Highlights

Wilmington, NC  (Be sure to turn HD OFF in top right corner of video if you have slow internet connection. Always let it load before playing.)

I’ve been wanting to use some new genres of music in my wedding highlights video for a while now, and Annie & Brian gave me the perfect opportunity because they love the “Avett Brothers” bluegrass band and so do we! Annie and Brian used this song for their first dance and it fit perfectly with their beautiful summer wedding at the Porters Neck Country Club and Golf Resort in Wilmington, NC. One of the highlights of our day was when the pastor forgot to tell Brian to kiss Annie for the first time as husband and wife. Brian quickly asked permission. It was hilarious! You’ll have to watch it in the highlights to see it unfold. The rest of the evening was insanely fun. I don’t think Annie & Brian ever stopped dancing. It made us wish we didn’t have to work all night so we could dance with them! It makes our job so enjoyable when we see that the bride and groom truly can’t wait to be married, not because they want to throw a big wedding party (which was amazing) , but because they can’t wait to start spending their lives together. We saw that with Brian and Annie, and you can really see the emotion shine through in their highlights video. Enjoy the video and leave some comment “love” to let us and Brian & Annie know what you think!

Here’s what Annie had to say about her Wedding Highlights Film:

“I enjoyed every second, I especially enjoyed how the sentimental version of the song was combined with the other version. I knew it was going to be amazing but I dont think I expected this! I can’t wait to see the entire video! Thanks again!”
